A downloadable mod for Windows

Unsubscribing is a standalone Source 2013/Mapbase mod about saving money one way or another, with or without using violence to do so.

All you need to play this mod is a Steam account.

  • System requirements: any computer made since 2011 running Windows or a recent Linux distribution; ~9GB of storage (570MB for the mod, 8.5GB for Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer)

Install instructions

Step 1: Install the base

You'll need to install Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer. Open this link to directly install it: steam://install/243730. Once installed, right-click on it, go to properties, betas and set it to [upcoming]. If you don't switch to the beta branch, the mod will not run.

Step 2: Install the mod

To run "Unsubscribing", you'll need to put all 4 folders from the archive in the "sourcemods" folder of your Steam Library (usually, C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\sourcemods). If you don't copy the mapbase folders, the mod will not run. Note: Steam, Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer and "Unsubscribing" have to be installed on the same drive. Restart Steam. "Unsubscribing" should appear in your games list.
